Jason Cahill is a Writer's Guild of America Award-winning writer who joined the production staff of Bionic Woman in late October 2007. He was brought in as the new showrunner, joining existing executive producers, David Eick and Jason Smilovic.
According to a report from TV Guide, he was hired to find ways to reshape the show in the wake of ratings that had slumped after the show's opening episode.
As of the date of his hire, it was unclear when his influence would first be felt, since persumably a number of episodes had been filmed prior to his arrival.
Cahill received his WGA Award for "Meadowlands", a first season episode of The Sopranos.
